Cat Ba Island 25th-27th Nov

Our last trip in Vietnam was to Cat Ba Island through Ha Long By. Although the weather was a little on the miserable side, it was an enjoyable time seeing more beautiful scenery of Vietnam. We took a boat ride through Ha Long Bay to Cat Ba Island, stopping off at a cave to see a dragon, a penis rock and other animals rubble's. When we got to Cat Ba we hoped on a bus to the centre of the island where there was a nature reserve and lookout. We hiked for around 30 minutes to the top and climbed a rickety tower to see over the forest. We found somewhere to stay, near the harbour and hired ourselves a moped to explore further. We found some nice open space, forests, beaches, swamps, an old bunker, war stuff, and a couple of nice restaurants to refresh us.
