Phuket - Ba-Tong road, night life - James Bond Island - Maya beach & Koh Phi Phi

On our first night in Phuket we went to seen the famous lady-boy show called Simon Cabaret and had a look around at the crazy night life that is Ba-Tong road at Patong Beach, just north of where we were staying at Karon Beach. The cabaret was amazing - apart from the performers looking a bit over it through some of the show - the costumes were spectacular, the sets simply to die for darling and the make-up fabulous!!!                     Pick the lady-boys in the photos below!!!

On Ba-Tong Road we went to this pole dancing bar and ended up buying two of the staff drinks all night, but we got free shots of Tequila out of them and some funny conversation. In the male toilets - John got in a bit of a tizz when washing his hands a guy grabbed him and before he knew it he was having his back and neck cracked while standing - then of course he was hit with the bill - no arguments came from John when he was out numbered 6 - 1.

Our second day in Phuket we just chilled out on the beautiful beach just down the road from our hostel.

Our 3rd day in Phuket we went on a tour of the famous James Bond Island - Where 'The Man with the Golden Gun' was filmed. ~ Specifically the place where the three nippled Scaramanga had his secret lair. We didn't find Scaramanga but we got to do a bit of kayaking through some unbelievable atolls and island formations.

We had lunch on this floating village <--------------------------- apparently inhabited by Muslims only, it was a weird place and we felt a little trapped and without options - as usual it was an agreement with the tour companies and the village that kept the money flow coming and their community surviving. The food was good not too bad - if you lie seafood.

The very next day we took another tour of the islands just of the coast of Phuket - this time we went to Ko Phi Phi and specifically to Maya Bay. The 2000 film called 'The Beach' staring Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed at Maya Bay, making it a hit with the lady's and lady boys!!!
